Banking services for everyone, everything; everywhere, and anytime
This paper suggests radical measures to reform the banking sector to the ultimate
level where there will be no NPAs, black money, fake currency, economic recession,
and corruption. The government should liberalize the banking sector in order to
establish a bank branch at every village or colony having a population of 2500 so
that each bank branch could handle approximately 2000 accounts.
Then banks will become virtually the intermediaries between the government and
the people to deliver all government services at bank branches. In a literal sense, a bank
branch at a village or colony will play the role of village secretariat.
