In the last six years, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has converted resolutions into achievements with vision and mission. Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state in India, has witnessed a remarkable transformation in various sectors under the leadership of Yogi Aditya Nath, who took charge as the chief minister in 2017. With the support and inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Yogi Aditya Nath has implemented several development schemes and initiatives that have improved the lives of millions of people in the state.
One of the major achievements of Yogi Aditya Nath’s government is the improvement in law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh. The state was notorious for crime and violence, especially against women and minorities, before Yogi Aditya Nath came to power. He adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards criminals and mafias, and launched a crackdown on illegal activities such as cow smuggling, land grabbing, mining mafia, and liquor mafia. He also established anti-Romeo squads to ensure women’s safety and dignity in public places. According to official data, more than 10,000 criminals have been arrested and over 1,000 encounters have taken place in the state since 20171. The crime rate has also declined by 29% in the same period2.
Another significant achievement of Yogi Aditya Nath’s government is the enhancement of infrastructure and connectivity in Uttar Pradesh. The state has witnessed a rapid growth in the construction of roads, highways, expressways, bridges, airports, metro rail, and other public transport facilities. The state government has also taken up several projects to boost industrial development and attract investment in the state. Some of the notable projects are the Defence Corridor, the Bundelkhand Expressway, the Purvanchal Expressway, the Ganga Expressway, the Jewar International Airport, and the Film City3. These projects are expected to generate employment opportunities and economic growth for the state.
A third major achievement of Yogi Aditya Nath’s government is the improvement in health care and education in Uttar Pradesh. The state government has made significant efforts to upgrade the health infrastructure and provide quality health services to the people, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The state government has increased the number of Covid-19 testing labs, oxygen plants, ventilators, beds, and vaccines in the state. The state government has also launched several schemes to provide free health insurance, free treatment, free medicines, and free ambulance services to the poor and needy4. The state government has also focused on improving the quality of education and implementing the National Education Policy 2020 in the state. The state government has increased the budget allocation for education, renovated schools and colleges, recruited teachers and staff, provided digital devices and internet access to students and teachers, and introduced new courses and curricula5.
These are some of the major achievements of Yogi Aditya Nath’s government in Uttar Pradesh in the last six years. Under his visionary leadership and with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a model state for development and good governance. Yogi Aditya Nath has fulfilled his promises and delivered results with dedication and determination. He has transformed Uttar Pradesh from a backward and lawless state to a progressive and prosperous state.
